A dental cleaning is to prevent periodontal disease. Once a patient has periodontal disease they cannot get a basic cleaning. They will need a scaling and root planning (deep cleaning) to clean below the gumline. Once the deep cleaning is done they will need to come back periodically for maintenance cleanings called Periodontal maintenance or perio maintenance for short.
We started our perio smile saver plan by popular demand from our existing patients. Anyone can sign up for this plan and receive the following.
- 3 periodontal Maintenance’s per year
- 2 exams per year
- 1 set of x-rays (4 bitewings and 2 PA’s)
- 1 emergency visit (1 limited exam and 1 PA)
- 25% off all major restorative treatment (excluding cosmetic services)
- 35% off all minor restorative treatment (including fillings and sealants)
